Drive to change, get the best | Datsun redi-GO Limited Edition
Living true to the Nissan DNA, Datsun Cars have been surprising Indian car buyers by giving them quality and economical products and making it harder to make a decision. The world knows about the success of Maruti 800 which was later replaced by a newer model called Maruti Suzuki Alto 800. Datsun has never underestimated the potential of Indian buyers and that’s why it entered into the market with highly economical Datsun cars like Datsun Go and Datsun Go+. Later in 2016, the Datsun redi-Go was launched to take over the entry-level car segment. The market leaders of this segment are Maruti Suzuki Alto line-up and Renault Kwid. Datsun redi-Go gives an appreciable competition to the existing leaders given the people’s trust over Maruti brand since ages and a significant rise in sale of Renault Kwid units have scared many manufacturers.

The Datsun redi-Go wins the match with a taller design prospecting to a greater cabin space however the rear passengers might have to face some comfort issue with a cramped boot of 222 litres. There is ample storage space in the cabin in form of cup holders, bottle holders, door pockets and cubby holes. The interior feels more of plastic which is of average quality but is done deliberately to cut some costs there. There is a presence of power windows for front passengers, electric power steering and child door lock along with engine immobilizer. Though the Datsun redi-Go misses the touch screen infotainment system on Renault Kwid, it still houses AUX-in USB Bluetooth Stereo system.
If someone is planning their first car to buy, Datsun redi-Go is a strong contender with macho looking hatchback along with minimum running and maintenance costs. Since it is a fuel-efficient vehicle, it will be an ideal choice for middle-class buyers with proper basic features and Datsun-Nissan credibility.
