The world knows about the success of Maruti 800 which was later replaced by a newer model called Maruti Suzuki Alto 800. Datsun has never underestimated the potential of Indian buyers and that’s why it entered into the market with highly economical Datsun cars like Datsun Go and Datsun Go+. Later in 2016, the Datsun redi-Go was launched to take over the entry-level car segment. The market leaders of this segment are Maruti Suzuki Alto line-up and Renault Kwid. Datsun redi-Go gives an appreciable competition to the existing leaders given the people’s trust over Maruti brand since ages and a significant rise in sale of Renault Kwid units have scared many manufacturers.
